Eleanor Fay :: 10 Months

Ellie Fay,

You're 10 months! By the time this is actually finished you'll be closer to 11 months...but I'm glad it's finally getting done ;)

Time feels like it's flying. I can't believe you're almost ONE! When did that happen?! So much has been packed into this year--you've been so great just going along for the ride! We love you, little one!

Eating
You love all food--you're not picky at ALL. You eat a ton every day. So much food!

Sleeping
This month has been off for you. Maybe you're teething? (See down in the Physical category). You've been waking up a few times at night and your dad and I are over it, girl ;) As soon as we go in you giggle and are fine...so we're not sure what's going on with ya! I'm sure it's just a phase and it wont last forever :) You are taking great naps though! Two hours in the morning (around 10am) and an hour in the afternoon (around 2pm).



Personality/Temperament
You just love life and make anyone who is around you smile :) You giggle all the time (aside from when you're hungry--then you just grunt/yell until we feed you.) You have a HUGE smile and love being outside. As soon as we start to walk down the stairs of our apartment building you start clapping and yelling. It's so cute. You love bath time--always splashing and spinning around (you really love playing in water!). You're also getting into EVERYTHING. You especially love the bathroom--your sister learned to use the potty this month (yay!) and you love to splash in the toilet (big eye roll here...) and rip down all the toilet paper while I'm not looking. We've put some rules in place--you can either play by the bathtub or you're not allowed in the bathroom while your sister is in there ;) You're a really sweet babe and I love you a whole lot!







Physical
-Just barely fitting in 6 month pj's (it wont be long til you're out of those!)
-size 3 diapers
-blue eyes
-no teeth still! I looked back at your sister's updates and she had just gotten her first tooth at 10 months--I think we're late teethers in this family and that's okay :) (pretty sure your cousin, Hannah, didn't have any teeth until around 18 months!) I do think you're teething though and if I squint reeeeeally hard I think I can see two coming through--so we'll see!
-you're babbling up a storm! saying mama and dada often :)
-you love to clap and splash water (especially the dog's water bowl...)

Memorable
-Apple picking! We went upstate to an apple orchard with about 50 international students and picked apples. You liked Golden Delicious the best :)
-My cousin, Ashley, came in and you loved spending time with her!
-Gigi came up for a visit!
-Grandma came up for a visit too!

I love you, sweet pea. In so many ways you've made me grow. I'm so thankful for you, Eleanor Fay!

Eleanor Fay :: 9 months

Hey love bug,

You're almost 10 months as I sit down to write this. Life feels so full right now! I'm so thankful and also a little overwhelmed. Looking back through my pictures of this past month I realized I didn't take nearly as many as I usually do--I think that happened for a few different reasons, but one reason for sure is because I wanted to be really, really present with you girls. I typically feel like I am very present with y'all, but this past month I just didn't really want my phone around and it shows by my lack of pictures :) (I still captured some cute ones of you so don't worry!).

One major event that happened this month is you started saying Mama! Your first word! Hazel's first word was Dada...so I was thrilled that you said Mama first (ha!). I also spent my first night away from you! You did great--I missed you and our family, but it was also reeeally nice to be away for the night.

Gigi has come up from Virginia this month and you and Hazel have enjoyed every second of your time with her!

You bring SO much joy to our family. We love you so much, Nor Nor!

Eating
-You eat a TON :)
-You're not picky and will eat whatever we give you
-Right now you're really into eggs, avocado, peanut butter + jelly, and potatoes
-You're doing a combo of nursing and formula

Sleeping
-Something happened after we stopped traveling because since we've been home your naps have been wayyyyy better than they were this summer! You typically nap from 9:30am-11am and 1pm-2:30/3ish. You're still sleeping through the night from 6pm-6:30/7am. I have no idea if it's teething or not, but this past week you've been waking up anywhere from 10:30pm-1am crying. I give you some quick cuddles and you typically go right back down. You still have no teeth so I'm thinking it might be teething? I have no idea though :)

Temperament 
-You are such a sweetheart
-You love to smile so big and give me so much joy little one!

Physical
-Blue eyes (I can't believe they stuck around!)
-Your hair is starting to come in! Still more in the back then on the top, but it's awfully cute :) You have a few long strands that go over your ears and they always crack me up--such a cutie!
-size 3 diapers
-18 lbs
-You are in everrrrrything. We put up a baby gate to the kitchen just because you kept getting into the recycling and it was driving me crazy ;)
-6 month pj's
-I've started putting you in 9 month clothes just because it's getting cooler outside and that's the size clothes we have from your sister...they're too big, but you're rocking 'em!

Memorable
-saying Mama! Your dad says when I'm not home you crawl around the apartment saying, "mama" and looking for me :)
-I spent my first night away from you
-Lots of sweet time with Gigi

This post feels a little short and not as full of pictures, but know you are so loved and our family enjoys you SO much!
