What a beautifully crazy year this has been, sweet girl.
I'm writing this the night before your birthday and your dad is currently out finding you a balloon at 9pm because we had a miscommunication about when the said balloon was supposed to be bought.
After we tucked y'all into bed (it was an extra challenging night with you girls at bedtime!) we sat down to talk and I told your dad I was sad you wouldn't have a balloon until the afternoon.
We went back and forth about how it really is fine. You're just turning one...you wont even remember!
He asked me what it was about having something--even something as small as a balloon--in the morning and I said, "I want each of them to feel so special on their birthday. So celebrated as soon as they wake up in the morning."
"I want that too," He said and now he's out finding you a balloon that you wont remember, but I'll take a picture so that when you read this one day you can see that balloon. ;)
Life is definitely a little nuts these days. Tomorrow you'll be one, Eleanor is two, and Hazel is three.
Crazy! It's so fun and so exhausting and I wouldn't change it for anything.
Your personality brings a great deal of calmness to our family and I'm so grateful for that.
Your smile, laugh, and cuddles bring a joy that I cannot fully express.
To say you have been an easy baby is an understatement. You sleep, eat like a champ, and go-with-the-flow daily.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
You are so incredibly loved! Your sisters gush over you all the time--they greet you when you wake up, tickle you, hold you, give you their snacks, and think everything you do is, "so cute!"
I feel like I could go on and on about how much we love you and what a gift you are to our family.
You are loved and we cannot wait to celebrate you tomorrow sweet one.
Tonight as I think back to this time last year my heart is overwhelmed with praise to God.
His plan, his timing, his creating.
You are a gift from the Lord, Sybie girl. You are so special.
Your dad just walked in the door with a big pink balloon in the shape of the number 1.
It has Minnie Mouse on it with polka dots. (He also bought each of your sisters a pink balloon.) You have a really sweet dad who loves you girls so very much.
What a gift this life is.
Happy first birthday Sybil Jane! You're one!
I love you so incredibly much.
Always,
Mama
